Edward Demetriou

Edward is Head of Product and Business Operations at Two Sigma Impact. Edward comes to Two Sigma from HM Payson & Co., where he served as a portfolio manager and alternative investment advisor. In this role, he designed and launched a bespoke private equity investment platform for high net worth investors. Prior to this, he was a managing director of alternative investments at the Maine Public Employees Retirement System (“MainePERS”), where he helped build the private investment funds program before serving as head of private equity. Before MainePERS, Edward practiced law and represented private equity funds and investors in capital formation and investments at Proskauer Rose LLP and Furman Gregory Deptula, LLC. Edward commenced his legal career as a law clerk for the Honorable Howard H. Dana, Jr. (retired) of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court. Edward holds a J.D. in Law from Vermont Law School, magna cum laude, and an A.B. in Spanish & Latin American Studies from Dartmouth College and is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.
