Halite II concludes, winners announced!

The second season of Halite, an artificial intelligence programming challenge by Two Sigma, ended on January 29th, 2018.

Congratulations to the winner, going by username reCurs3, who works in Montreal at Ubisoft, which is the creator of video game Assassin’s Creed. Second place went to user FakePsyho, a Polish puzzle champion working at OpenAI, and third to user shummie, an actuary at Allstate in Chicago.

We are very impressed by the caliber of players this year, from college students at Cornell to high school students at Brooklyn Tech, who truly challenged these top professional players and secured impressive positions in the leaderboard top 10.
