Tom Hill
Chairman, Private Investments
Tom Hill is Chairman of Two Sigma’s private investment businesses, which include Two Sigma Ventures, Two Sigma Real Estate, and Sightway Capital and the Chief Executive Officer of Two Sigma Real Estate. Mr. Hill is a member of Two Sigma Real Estate’s Investment Committee. Prior to joining Two Sigma in January 2019, Mr. Hill was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Blackstone Alternative Asset Management (“BAAM”) and Vice Chairman of Blackstone where he served as a member of its Board of Directors. Under his leadership, BAAM became the world’s largest discretionary allocator to hedge funds. Mr. Hill oversaw the expansion of BAAM’s investment management business, growing the number of customized fund-of-hedge fund vehicles, building an individual investor solutions platform that includes a mutual fund and UCITS product, and launching a strategic opportunity business focused on co-investment opportunities. BAAM is also known for its general partnership stakes and seeding strategy that acquires minority stakes and provides seed capital to hedge fund managers, a business that was incepted during Mr. Hill’s tenure. Mr. Hill founded the Hill Art Foundation in 2015. He also serves on various boards including the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, the Smithsonian Institution, Guggenheim Museum, Peterson Institute for International Economics, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Telluride Foundation, Advantage Testing Foundation, Friends of the High Line, Lincoln Center Theater, and Our Lady Queen of Angels School, a parochial school (K-8th grade) in Spanish Harlem. He is a member of the Advisory Board of Christie’s and a member of the Board of Directors of First Eagle Investment Management and Advantage Testing, Inc. Mr. Hill is a graduate of Harvard College and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
