We cultivate long-term relationships with faculty at prestigious academic institutions around the world, and offer resources to support research efforts.
We have a long track record of working successfully with leading professors from top universities via ongoing consulting, sabbaticals, research awards, and full-time employment in the firm.
Are you a professor of Machine Learning, Statistics, or Computer Science? Do you have a significant body of published literature in deep learning, probabilistic models, or other areas of modern machine learning? Join our quantitative research team in a part- or full-time capacity.
We are proud to offer an annual award to tenured and tenure-track faculty at US colleges and universities who have made an outstanding impact in STEM research, teaching, mentoring, and/or outreach advancing diversity.
We partner with universities and colleges, such as Howard University and University of California, Berkeley, to offer specialized scholarships and fellowships to their students. We are actively seeking partnerships that align with our mission to provide support to members of historically underrepresented groups.
The Two Sigma Academic Partnership program offers you the opportunity to apply your research to real-world problems. The work we do isn’t theoretical in nature. It’s focused on producing concrete results that benefit real people.
Faculty partnerships, such as Berkeley Artificial Intelligence Research (BAIR) and Cornell Tech, can lead to opportunities to work with Two Sigma as a consultant.
Two Sigma hosts 325 unique Learning & Development events each year to support our goal of bringing the brightest minds from all parts of the world to collaborate on tough problems, learn from each other, and advance our understanding of the world. We often host guest lectures from universities and colleges as part of this programming.
